Karen Lauterbach appointed new board member of the Timbuktu Foundation

Associate Professor at CAS, Karen Lauterbach, has been appointed new member of the board of the Timbuktu Foundation. The Foundation was established in 2008 with the aim of promoting journalism, development education and information about issues of development and the global South.

The name of the Foundation is inspired by the ancient Timbuktu, and its enlightened, open and inquisitive society oriented towards the outside world. With a background in African Studies as well as development work, Karen looks much forward to contributing to debating and working with communication on development and the global South. More information can be found the Foundation’s webpage.
