New PhD employee at PRIVACY: Fabio Gigone

Fabio Gigone is employed as PhD at Centre for Privacy Studies, starting 15 August 2018

Fabio’s research will focus on the architectural apparatuses deployed in Versailles, which defined the court and a new idea of privacy within the Louis XIV’s kingdom between the 1682 and 1715. The research will consider a wide range of archival sources and will produce an autonomous body of design investigations based on the drawing tool.

Fabio Gigone holds an M.Arch. in Architecture from Università Iuav di Venezia, Italy, and an associate professorship at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences within the Landscape and Spatial Planning Department of Ås. He has worked as Research Assistant at AAA, School of Architecture of Aarhus, Denmark.

Fabio has a strong background in architectural representation and exhibition design. He has previously served as editor of the Instructions and Manuals section of Abitare magazine (2007-10), Creative Director of Domus magazine (2011-12) and co-founder of San Rocco magazine. He was contributor at La Biennale di Venezia-Architecture (2008, 2010, 2012, 2014) and Art Director of the Italian Pavilion in 2010. He has a strong background in architectural representation and exhibition design.
