New Postdoc employee

Anna Becker is employed as Postdoc at Centre for Privacy Studies, starting 1 July 2018.

Anna’s research will focus on notions of the body and embodiment in the history of political thought. She will be examining questions of secrecy, intimacy, obsession and desires in moral and political theory and in early modern culture, investigating the shifting and porous public/private divide.

Anna is a historian of early modern political thought and intellectual history and a gender historian. She holds an MPhil and a PhD in the history of political thought from Cambridge. She has studied politics, history and law in Bonn, Berlin and Milan and has held lecturing and research positions in Basel and Zürich.

We are looking forward to working with Anna at Centre for Privacy Studies.
