Flexible Master's Programme

The Faculty of Theology offers a Flexible Master's Programme to working people who have both relevant previous long- or medium-term higher education qualifications and two years of relevant work experience. The main subject of the Master’s programme is agreed between the student and supervisor so that its content reflects the student’s prior education and work experience. If the student wish so, the main subject can be within Søren Kierkegaard studies.

A continuous-education flexsible Master’s programme is organised as a part-time programme, normally over two years, so that students can combine education and work. The programme includes a number of courses in which highly qualified teachers impart research-based knowledge.

Current courses can be found in the University of Copenhagen's online course catalogue - choose "Faculty of Theology" and tick the box "Continuing and further education".

Student fees

Participation in the Flexible Master's Programme is contingent upon the payment of student fees. For Danish, Scandinavian and EU/EEA citizens the student fees for the whole programme are currently set at DKK 25,000. For non-EU/EEA citizens with a  Danish residence permit valid for the whole study programme the student fees for the programme are currently set at DKK 55,450.

A detailed description (in Danish) of the continuous-education programmes is available here.

Details of all of the University of Copenhagen’s Master’s and diploma programmes are available on the University’s continuing and further education pages.
