Anne Katrine de Hemmer Gudme awarded prestigious silver medal
The Associate professor receives the award for her outstanding research in Hebrew Bible Studies. She received the silver medal and an accompanying research grant of 100.000 DKK on October 25 2018.
The Academy states that Anne Katrine de Hemmer Gudme is a promising researcher who in short time has built an impressive body of research that is widely recognized both nationally and internationally.

About the researcher
- Anne Katrine de Hemmer Gudme is Associate Professor at the Section of Biblical Studies at University of Copenhagen.
- Her area of research is the Hebrew Bible focusing on religion, social customs and everyday life in Hebrew Bible texts.
- She has a particular interest in food, meals and hospitality in the Bible and is currently writing her second monography: Hospitality in the Hebrew Bible: An Anthropological Analysis of the Role, Function and Literary Use of Hospitality in the Hebrew Bible (Bloomsbury)
