Bidding farewell to a key CAS staff member
Julie Katrine Oxenvad – who many know as the Head of Administration at the Centre of African Studies (CAS) – has been a core presence at the Centre for the past twelve years. However, Julie is leaving CAS at the end of September to take up a new position elsewhere as of 1 October 2016.
Julie started working at the Centre of African Studies as a student assistant in 2004 while she was studying for her Masters in International Development and Public Administration at Roskilde University. Subsequently, she became Head of Administration at CAS in 2008. During these past eight years in particular she has contributed substantially to the Centre both professionally and personally. We shall truly miss having Julie at CAS in an everyday sense, but she will remain part of the CAS extended family indefinitely!
We at CAS want to express our warm appreciation for Julie, and to wish her all the best in her new position.
