Article in Altinget by Associate Professor Stig Jensen about key elements in new policy proposal by The Social Democrats.
As a part of The Social Democrats new immigration policy proposal, the party proposes a European and international initiative to uplift Africa inspired by the "Marshall Plan" for Europe after World War II.
Some of the main questions reflected upon and answered in the article are: how can the party propose convincing policy suggestions about Western lead Africa initiatives without commenting on and considering the fact that Africa’s natural resources and markets have been and still are fundamental to the Western economic development? And how come the proposal’s problem horizons and the concrete initiatives of the party are so far apart?
There is also given an outline of explanations to why all the parties as well as the Western political establishment in general are paralyzed regarding African development initiatives.
