CAS Director, Amanda Hammar, delivers keynote address at African Studies Association in Germany (VAD) conference, 28 June 2018

CAS’s Director, Amanda Hammar, recently gave the keynote address at the African Studies Association in Germany (VAD) conference, held in Leipzig, 27 – 30 June 2018, attended by over 500 scholars from both within Germany and internationally, including many African academics, presenting in more than 60 panels. The conference theme was ‘African Connections’, and Professor Hammar’s keynote lecture was entitled ‘Connection, Disconnection and What Lies Between: Relational Readings of African Worlds’.
