Danish aid to Uganda does not prevent democracy

Monday evening (the 8’th of October), the Danes could hear in TV-News that assistance to Uganda prevents the country's population from gaining freedom and democracy. But that is not correct. DR uncritically used an Ugandan opposition politician and thereby paints an unappealing and one-sided picture of both the Danish aid and the realities of Uganda, writes Stig Jensen, associate professor at the University of Copenhagen, and Globalnyt’s Jytte Laursen.
