Associate Professor Stig Jensen, CAS, is invited to participate in a panel by the Democracy in Europe Information Society on the bilateral relationship between the two unions. The panel will address the following questions of how the EU and Africa will work together? What does the EU want with Africa - and what does Africa want with the EU? What can the Unions agree on? How are trade relations shaped today? And how can African countries contribute to the green transition?

The backdrop to this discussion is the sixth EU and the African Union summit, which took place on the 18-19 February 2022. Health, climate, migration, security and infrastructure were among the topics when heads of state and government from EU member states and 40 African countries met in February for their first summit in five years. What does the EU want with Africa - and Africa with the EU?
