Niger's Freedom Struggle Challenges the West

In a new article written by Associate Professor, Stig Jensen focuses on the recent military coup and the increasing tensions in Niger as a whole. In a country that has previously been under French colonial rule their search for independence has gone hand in hand with a distancing of the West. With increasing cooperation between African countries and China, Russia, and the Middle East, the West continues to lose footing in the continent.
