CAS welcomes new MA students

On the 8th of September 2025 new master students in African Studies went on a trip to Sommerladen, a special music venue north of Copenhagen managed by Danish musician Katrine Suwalski who has a long history of collaborations with Ghanaian artists.

The day was centered around music, dancing and cross-cultural storytelling. A Ghanaian performance collective led by Michael Kwabena Domfeh introduced the group to West African dance steps, djembé rhythms and the role of music in everyday life as a way to pass on history and find joy in moments of hardship.
