Current research profile and focus

Current research focus: a general analysis of the consequences of Africa's entry into the emerging new world order, based on the theoretical approach that the process of change is influenced by the interplay between external and internal factors. Two case-based studies will be continued: 1) The interplay between domestic policy and foreign policy during the Idi Amin regime in Uganda in the 1970s.  2) An examination of Karen Blixen's letters from Kenya 1914-1920, as source material for the history of World War I in Eastern Africa.
