The paper was a brief presentation of the research projet Past and Present at La Trappe with particular focus on the position of the Cistercian reform in the Spannungsfeld between monastic tradition and contemporary concerns. It moreover demonstrated the ways in which the ongoing exchanges at the Cultural Heritage Centre have influend the development of the focus of the project.
