Anni Haahr Henriksen - Visiting researcher
During the research stay, I was working closely with my co-supervisor, PRIVACY Core Scholar Dr Annabel Brett, Reader in the History of Political Thought and Fellow of Gonville and Caius College. At the Cambridge School of Political and Intellectual Thought, I participated actively in research seminars, interacting with students and scholars at the History of Political Thought and Intellectual History graduate programme.
Apart from working on my monograph, I was investigating Elizabethan thought policing, that is, surveillance of the mind, for a research article. This work centered in particular on Elizabethan legislation and demanded access to the considerable archival holdings available at the University of Cambridge and the nearby archives in London. The article will be published by Routledge and is expected in January 2021.
