As part of Lund University’s Global History Seminar Series LAUGH, PRIVACY researcher Felicia Fricke will present Fugitive Motherhood: Women Running from Slavery in the Insular Caribbean, 1770s–1870s, a study of the decisions enslaved mothers made when escaping slavery, based on fugitive advertisements from colonial newspapers.
