AMSTERDAM INTERIORS - Privacy in temporary accommodation
Exhibition at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation
The exhibition shows works by students from the master program Spatial Design at Institute of Architecture and Design. The works are part of a three weeks workshop in the fall 2018 where students investigated the theme privacy in temporary accommodation by designing spatial interventions in relation to specific sites at the Borneo Sporenburg Island in Amsterdam. The workshop included a trip to Amsterdam and studies of historical and contemporary buildings, paintings, artefacts and everyday life in order to understand the context as a part of a specific culture. 16 models in 1:10 investigate the interface between tectonics, materials and space. Afterwards the students are going to work with the same theme in Copenhagen.
