The Thirty Years War in history and spirituality

The Thirty Years War was the biggest disaster in older European history. The incident was described and reflected in several literary and theological texts. The individuals searched for answers to their destiny, especially with respect to their confessions. Why did the confessions fight against each other? Who were right? Where did ‚Christianity‘ go? And how could one meet the challenges of the war in church and household piety?
