ONLINE PRIVACY LECTURE: Altona, 'little sister' of Hamburg: urbanisation, religious freedom and the emergence of privacy
Susanne Rau is professor of history and cultures of modern spaces at the University of Erfurt since 2009. Prof. Rau's main research areas comprise urban history and urbanity, Reformation, religious pluralism in the early modern era, sociability, travel narratives and travel experience in the pre-modern era, the history and cultures of spaces and "global" trade in the premodern period, among others. She taught and researched as guest professor and lecturer at the Université Lumière Lyon 2, at the Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme / ÉHESS in Paris, at the Université Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and at the École normal supérieure de Lyon.
