New Postdoc employee: Fredrik Torisson

Fredrik Torisson is employed as Postdoc at Centre for Privacy Studies, starting 1 September 2018.

Fredrik’s research will focus on architecture, as expressed in buildings, drawings, representations and treatises.

His research project departs from the proposition that there is no a priori concept of privacy. From this follows that there is no single, universal definition of privacy; we are instead able to focus on the practices and spatial arrangements that have been organized around what is assumed to be privacy. As a result, we can begin thinking of privacies in plural, which includes notions of privacy that have been dispensed with over the course of the history.

Fredrik has a master degree in Architecture from Lund University and a PhD in Architecture from Lund University. He has previously worked in architectural practice in London and Berlin. Since his PhD, he has been conducting postdoctoral research at the School of Architecture at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

We are looking forward to working with Fredrik at Centre for Privacy Studies.
