PRIVACY Scholar Bastian Vaucanson Receives Scholarship
Centre for Privacy Studies is proud to announce that The Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik Foundation has chosen to grant PRIVACY PhD student Bastian Vaucanson with the Cayx Scholarship.
The generous amount of 78.000 Danish Kroner will be spent on Bastian’s upcoming research stay at the Université Rennes 2 where he will study under the supervision of Prof. François Trémolières who is a leading expert on the French 17th-century mystic, Bishop and Royal Tutor to Louis XIV’s grandchildren, François de Salignac de la Mothe Fénelon (1651-1715). The research stay will last 12 months and is part of Bastian’s joint-degree PhD program between Copenhagen and Rennes 2. During his stay at Rennes 2, Bastian will focus his research on private devotion in Fénelon, namely the importance of the child Jesus and the virgin Mary in his political theology.
