Dustin Neighbors gives lecture at Czech Academy of Sciences

On October 8, Dustin Neighbors, former postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Privacy Studies, gave a lecture at the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. The lecture was titled "Notions of Privacy and the Private at Early Modern Courts: Reflecting on the Challenges and Benefits of Research Approaches in the Study of Historical Privacy".

The aim of the lecture was to study the privacy dimensions of the letter exchange between Elector August of Saxony (1526-1586) and (Hans) Ungnad von Heissenwolf, Baron von Sonnegg (1493-1564), and to discuss the combination of privacy and court studies in general.

Neighbors is currently visiting postdoctoral scholar with the Department of Philosophy, History and Art Studies at the University of Helsinki.
