Last three episodes of Privacy Studies Podcast Season 5 ‘Privacy and Death’
The last three episodes of Privacy Studies Podcast season 5 ‘Privacy and Death’ have been released. Listen to the new episodes on our website, where you will also find the first nine episodes of this season as well as previous seasons of the podcast.
The new episodes are part of the fifth season of the podcast, which follows the discussions of the symposium PRIVACY AND DEATH: Past and Present, which took place at the University of Copenhagen and online between October 12 and 13, 2023. The symposium aimed to bring to the fore the discussions of what kind of privacy, if any, we have given to our dead in different cultural and historical contexts. In this season of the podcast, you will hear presentations by historians, archaeologists, sociologists, and other experts.
The newly released episodes (10, 11 and 12) cover topics such as the role of the dead in the political culture of the Roman Republic, Albanian-Greek tensions over the WWII dead, and ethics of displaying human remains in museums.
The symposium and this season of the Privacy Studies Podcast is organized and produced by Felicia Fricke (Saxo Institute, University of Copenhagen) and Natacha Klein Käfer (Centre for Privacy Studies, University of Copenhagen).
