New guest researcher at PRIVACY
In April we were happy to welcome our new guest researcher Javier Sadarangani Leiva to the Centre for Privacy Studies!
Javier is PhD candidate at the University of Hamburg, member of the Ibero-American Society for the History of Emotions and Experience (SIHEX in the Spanish acronym) and DAAD-ANID fellow.
His research aims to understand how emotions and politics relate to each other in the 19th century, with an emphasis on the Chilean political experience. To do so, he places the work methodologically and theoretically in the history of emotions as well as in the egodocuments. Concerning privacy, the project also provides notions of how the politics of emotions conceived the role of the private in the public realm and vice-versa.
Javier will be staying till the end of this month.
