Gilbert Semma Skytte begins internship at PRIVACY

We are pleased to share that Gilbert Semma Skytte, student assistant at the Centre for Privacy Studies, has now joined the research theme Belief as an intern. Gilbert is a bachelor’s student in philosophy at the University of Copenhagen, currently in his fifth semester.

In his research internship, Gilbert will support Bastian Felter Vaucanson’s work on the Schimmelmann family and their involvement in the transatlantic slave trade. Motivated by the historical connection between the Schimmelmann and Schiller families, he will investigate the relationship between the aesthetic and freedom in Letters upon the Aesthetic Education of Man by Friedrich Schiller. His work aims to highlight the philosophical arguments in Schiller’s Letters.

Alongside his research internship, Gilbert continues to assist with administrative tasks at the centre.
