Project Launch: Stakeholder Engagement and News Feature
The MUWUG research project was officially launched on the 2nd of June 2025 at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana with an engaging Stakeholder Workshop.
Our dedicated MUWUG team lead informative discussions on urban water provision, inequality, water body pollution, user engagement, and water politics. The occasion was used to engage with a range of stakeholders such as:

This marks the official beginning of MUWUG - a collaborative research project that, over the next years, will strive to make interdisciplinary research in urban waterscapes relevant for all.
The findings from the MUWUG project are expected to inform policy interventions that promote equitable water access and climate-resilient planning for Ghana’s urban poor.
