Boards and councils
The Faculty of Theology has a number of councils and boards consisting of academic staff, administrative staff, PhD students and students, depending on the portfolio of each council and board.
The Board of Studies for Theology
The responsibilities of the Board of Studies for Theology include developing, organising and running study programmes and teaching on part- and full-time study programmes within the subject area of theology. The Board maintains the curricula, follows up on evaluations of the teaching and study programmes, and processes applications for credit transfers and dispensation. The work is carried out in accordance with the study board's rules of procedure (in Danish).
Meetings of the Board of Studies are public except during the process of personal matters. A minimum of nine ordinary meetings are held per annum.

The Board of Studies for Theology is responsible for the ongoing evaluation of the teaching on theology programmes, and for following up on these evaluations. The Board discusses the evaluations at the end of each semester, and posts a summary of its deliberations.

Applications should be submitted to the Board of Studies at the latest one week before the meeting at which the applicant(s) wish(es) them to be discussed.
Applications for dispensation, credit transfer, pre-approval, etc. are usually processed at a case processing meeting by a committee of the study board. Case processing meetings are held on an ongoing basis. Some cases are processed at the regular study board meetings.

The Study Board for the Centre of African Studies
The Board of Studies for the Centre of African Studies (CAS) is commissioned to ensure the preparation, implementation and development of the study programmes and teaching at Centre of African Studies, maintain the study curricula, follow up on the evaluations of the teaching and consider applications for exemption and credit transfer etc.
The CAS Board of Studies works in accordance with the rules of procedure.
The meetings are public except during the process of personal matters.

Procedures for teaching evaluation at the Faculty of Theology can be found in the Policy for the quality assurance for study programmes.
Applications to the Study Board for pre-approval, final credit transfer, dispensation, exemption etc. have to be submitted via the electronic application form one week prior to the relevant Study Board meeting. Applications have to be written in English.

Academic Council
The Academic Council consists of representatives of the academic staff and students. The Academic Council works with strategies for research, education and knowledge exchange. The Council is also responsible for the composition of academic committees that assess applicants for academic positions, award PhD and doctoral degrees, and comment on academic matters of significant importance to the faculty's activities.
