Master's Programme in Theology
The Faculty of Theology offers a Danish Master's programme in Theology that lasts two years and comprises 120 ECTS points. The Master's programme in Theology expands upon the insights and skills acquired on the bachelor programme. The teaching will mainly be in small groups in order to facilitate a high degree of student participation, and the programme presupposes to a great extent the student's ability to work independently.
Successful completion of the programme confers the right to the title Master of Theology (in Danish: Cand.theol.)
Graduates of the Master's programme are qualified to carry out a broad spectrum of tasks in the church, culture and society. A Master of Theology will have completed the study programme required of anyone who, having followed the Pastoral Seminar's teaching programme, seeks a job as a minister in the Danish National Church. Graduates are also qualified to apply for the PhD programme.
Admission to the Master's programme in Theology takes place twice a year (1 September and 1 February. Information about access requirements is available in Danish at the website Master's programme in Theology.
