SKC Research Seminar: Kierkegaard, Dostoevsky, and Nietzsche: 150 Years of Dialogue
Kierkegaard, Dostoevsky and Nietzsche are often regarded as the 19th century precursors for 20th century existential thinking. There is a long tradition of comparing them and reading them in dialogue with each other, which reflects shifting methodical and theoretical approaches. How can we address and examine their interconnections, similarities and differences today? This seminar explore possibilities of dialogue between these writers as voices and counter voices to each other on different issues. The three presentations bring them into conversation both with regard to what they write and how they write.
