Research Training

SKC aims to provide optimal opportunities for research training of graduate and postgraduate students, PhD students, and Postdoctoral researchers, first and foremost through individual supervision, but also through the centre’s research activities.

The ambition is to lead researchers back to the fundamentals: reading texts as accurately as possible in their own context and history of reception, and with attention to the issues at stake so that readers are prepared to discuss their significance independently. This also entails that the reader train and sharpen his or her sense of what it means to do research. This includes developing a critical eye to ensure that research does not remain bound within given paradigms but rather sees what is 'between' or 'outside' such paradigms.
