PhD Fellow: 'Producing Sharia in Context' where my main role is to examine Sharia as a dynamic product of contextual, ethical considerations by Danish Muslims. I focus on the methods used by Danish Muslims to rethink sustainability while reproducing Sharia in context. I attempt to understand the future of religious diaspora amongst Muslims in the West as a part of a future international understanding of how Islam is transformed and rearticulated in Western contexts and likewise, how transnational narratives concerning universal Islam or a universal Sharia gain authority within different Muslim groups. Moreover, I work with a wider understanding of new tendencies and their relation to contextual influences as they are formed and transformed through inductive methods by Muslims in the West.
